Day 150: America Rejected This

Consider this a bookend to my previous post to my previous post on the eve of the "No Kings Protest".  Happily, my earlier post that pointed out that as many Americans, if not more, oppose Trumpist fascism was proven correct by the fantastic turnout across the country. Well done, America! The Founding Fathers are no doubt proud! 

While quantifying the precise turnout is difficult, it is clear that at least five million Americans turned out to reject MAGA and its fascist agenda. As Arie Melber pointed out tonight on MSNBC, that is roughly twenty times the number of people who protested at the height of the Tea Party movement.  Fantastic!  

Sadly, while America did choose Trump, America is now rejecting him. Better late than never, right? Like an alcoholic, sometimes a country has to wake up in the gutter before it realizes it has a problem.

By contrast, the Dumbkopf Fuhrer's masturbatory birthday celebration, ostensibly to celebrate the birthday of the US Army, was a dismal failure.  The turnout was so low energy, to use a Trumpism, that even the orange god-king was bored.

All things considered, this past weekend was a smashing success for latter-day Minute Men and quite the embarrassment for the royalists of MAGA.  

Well, that's about all I have for today.  I see that the most obnoxious of all seasons, summer, is about to roast all of us, so I suspect I will be writing a great deal more as a way to get my mind off the heat (I am a very weather-driven writer! 😁).

  Breaking News {SATIRE} Embattled Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has once again become embroiled in scandal.  It has been uncovered that Hegseth has been using a game's clan chat system to discuss classified war plans with his online gaming buddies.  According to an anonymous source, Hegseth would often talk about ongoing military operations while playing Activision's popular battle royale shooter,  Call of Duty: Warzone . An informant, whom we shall refer to as "BBalls" to preserve his anonymity, recently contacted this publication with startling allegations.   I'm back! After a two-week break, I have returned to blogging. The cause of my disappearance is the usual suspect: real life.  In addition to that, I just needed a break as fitting in a blog entry every few days started to feel less like a hobby and more like a job. It helped that politics quieted down a bit.  I mean, this admin was as nuts as ever, but the last few weeks were more about Trump and his minions embarrassing themselves than it was about actively destroying the nation.   But now, with the help of a rainy day (writing weather!), I am back at it.   🔻🔻🔻🔻🔻 We have a new pope!
